    ... a tea and we shared a panini, in the Costa. £10.27! Back home that would have been about £7.65, quite a difference. I used my iPhone as a personal hotspot in the car, so I could check and send emails...I love the technology. We passed a power station which doesn't look like it's used any more...I hope not, it's a dirty looking thing! About 4pm we called in to see Pat.     Had a good flight, good landing, fast through passport control, luggage arrived quickly, met with car by Emma's parents, got down to Southampton quickly in time for 9am ferry - it's Cowes week so ferries are very busy - told to wait until 11am! No joy in persuading otherwise. Oh the joy of living on on Island - western Kenya to Southampton no delays - Southampton to Isle of Wight....... Anyway eventually they must have taken pity on us and we got on 10am - thank you Red Funnel! Happy ...

    First day at sea starts early. It has been a very bumpy night and the wardrobe door has opened and a long skirt hem has moved and is stopping the door closing so it is banging open and closed. Despite the sea we have slept well and we choose to go for breakfast in the dining room rather than wrestling a tray in the Lido. Another nice meal again at the stern of the ship and quick visit to the Internet cafe gets us signed ...

    ... for making the connection consisted of exiting the building to the short-term parking area and greeting the guy waiting for us. Geneva has no marked short-term parking area. We walked the length of the terminal looking for one. Asked several staffers for help. They had no idea. I walked to the end of the terminal and spoke to the agent at Budget. No help. Tried calling the contact number six times. Two no answer; three recorded message ...

    ... thing with the life jackets as usual, then straight outside for the sail away. We had the Marines playing on quayside flags were a wavin, tic a tape was being blown about and fireworks were being let off. See pictures. Really impressive. We have met many people who have done a world cruise several times, they all say they never want to get off. Dinner is a table of 8 all seem very nice people ...
