... a read then started packing about 5pm. As we do not have to leave the hotel until 11pm we decided to treat ourselves to a meal at the Vietnamese Restaurant within the hotel. What a treat they were doing a special which gave you a taste of many traditional dishes from their menu it was delicious. There were seven courses all little tasters but so tasty and fresh. We were so full up ...

We made our way to the California Pizza Kitchen for supper. We were fortunate to find out it was situated with a view of the insane water fountain at the base of the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. It is truly a multicultural city. I have never seen so much construction going on which ...

... It's very well organised, as you can see from one of the photos if you don't mind drinking Heineken, you don't even have to leave your seat! I didn't realise Strongbow was so big in Dubai, they had their own bar area. Bobbing for apples from a barrel was the afternoon entertainment, whoever won received a free can of Strongbow.

The England result was not the one we wanted to see, being knocked out by New Zealand, but it was still a great day.

... and it felt like i was trying to breath through a straw!, not put off by my panting i stayed out there for an hour and have a gloating tan... yippee!!.

As i'd spent an hour sunbathing I thought i'd go for a swim although it was like being back in the aquarium when i looked at the water, jelly fish everywhere!. I spoke to the lifeguard who mentioned the palm has a real issue with jellyfish being scattered ...
