We are back at the hotel, it is 5:45 pm and I am tired. It was a long day, so much history my head overflowed. We went thru country side to Derry or Londonderry as some call it. A local historian and teacher joined us at the beginning of our day and began by sharing history of the area and towns as we turned east on our way to Derry. It is possible to function immediately in the new time zone, but one's body still has to re-synchronise and it gets ************e gets older! We are truly in love with Ireland and feel happy to have connected with our ancestors, while at the same time, grateful that they emigrated to Australia, giving us the privileged lives that we have.

... into an expansive garden. They have worked to plant this garden since 1857. This is when the estate was created by John George Adair. The estate went through several hands and each person restored or expanded the castle and gardens. Today it is a beautiful oasis in the middle of a mountain range. We tour the castle (sorry no pictures allowed) and walk the gardens. After some cake and coffee we head back the 4 km to the entrance. They don't really have mosquitoes here, they ...
