For once we had a good coach trip with the works and en-route along the coast to Hoi An we witnessed the devastating damage done by the cyclone that passed here 6 weeks ago, would not have liked to be present at that time. Big roadside billboards toppled over, hotels and houses unroofed, mountainside denuded of foilage, shop fronts blown in and …

Since you know how much I love fashion (if you don't - stop reading my blog), you'd think being in the city of custom everything fashion would be my haven (shoes, clothes, jewelry, bathing suits). Wrong. Remember when I said the mall in Bangkok was one of the most overwhelming places? I think this place might top the charts. I had every intention of getting loads of custom tailored clothes and shoes, but then we walked into the first tailor. ...

... places serving local food, as well as a morning fruit and veggie market of sorts. It also had construction right next door. We were too early to check in, but asked for a room away from the noise of the construction. We set out to walk around town and get the lay of the land. It is a very charming town. We liked it immediately.

One nice thing is that the streets of the Old Quarter are closed to motor vehicles for a few hours each morning and afternoon, ...

bed so early when he knew we would be back that night. That's a funny thing that I've found about Asia, people either work twice as *************e in the UK or they are actively lazy to the point where it looks tiring to do so little.

I made it to bed without being sick, the room wasn't spinning, the room was a nice temperature. In a town where there really isn't much to do, we had a great day. Tomorrow we would plan to move on.
