    ... feathers. Apparently this is to eat single cell plants and molluscs. There were a flock of Red breasted Geese on the lawn, very brightly coloured and tame.
    Near the Manor House there was an exhibition about Gerald Durrell and the setting up of the Trust.
    To finish off we had out tenner feast meal at Casa Mia, muscles and lobster linguini - very nice with the red wine.

    ... I was luckily enough to get a first class ticket for only £25 billie said this was a great bargain as most first class tickets were over £100!!     Having slept through my alarm. I jumped up, showered and hit the Tube. I was skyping my brother and paula, and was wanting to do it from the city. Getting to the London Eye, I talked to them for a while, alway great to see and talk to the family and friends. From here I walked across the Waterloo bridge to the boat to take me to Greenwich.     It was an ominous sign that the pharmacy had no Valium left in stock - the day before we set off. How relieved I was to find that the reason for our 4 hour delay was that our aircraft had been caught up in a lightening storm on the way over and needed to be checked for burns.     Home safely in Balham. Lovely train ride. Interesting from Elephant and Castle though. Work being done on the Victoria line so all trains replaced with buses. ( I blame the elephant.) Very efficient though... And I saw lots and lots of suburbs that I hadn't seen. I enjoyed it. Packed the case and hand luggage. Taxi booked for 8am. ...
