... earlier than planned and off we toddled to get spruced up. We had a lovely evening meal, mixed table of 8 tonight. They ranged from, retired, to artist and banker. All different backgrounds and was very interesting conversation. The couple at the side of us were from Lincoln, small world. My favourite bit of the conversation was when he was telling us what he remembered from the war. He lived in Scunthorpe and he was particularly upset ...

We left Alquerias around 10 and it was a superb stopover right in the heart of lemon groves exactly the type of Spain I'm trying to find. I don't want Irish pubs sure didn't i own one for long enough. We found our way to a nearby market at Torraguera and tried my best to buy a pair of sandals made in spain by spanish people but sadly we had to surrender and settle for beautiful cherry tomatoes and early spuds.

Since we wrote last night I've been to Alicante airport to pick up my colleague who has kindly offered to be my travel companion until next Monday at Malaga. It's a change Alqueríasbecause after two weeks doing a Tom Hanks routine I must get out two cups now! ... and fishing port though all the fishing fleet are in and fish market etc. all closed up. Plenty day trippers heading o beach to savour their Sunday afternoon.
The strange thing is after locating a bar that has good WifI they were opening at 12 and will be closed by 6. I noticed that beach First Aid will only be working Mid June to ...
