... patk. It is very clean and there are only 3 areas designated for people to stay over night. At least there was the foresight to designate this lovely area as a national park. The thai people/government is known to live in the today with little thought to the future and the impact of today's actions to that future. While living in the moment is what mindful living is based upon, living in the moment doesn't help the animals, plants, the earth, fish ....

... who had become thomas's best mate offered to orgainse a hired car for the whole day to take us to all these amazing places, plus one of his english speaking staff members to come as translater... for £20 each. Whaaaaaa. Hell yes! It cost us a bloody tenner just to get to our hotel from the airport. We left the hotel at 9:30 in the morning and didnt get back til 7pm. We then had dinner in the hotel, not that amazing and headed out to the Sky Bar. We quickly got turned away from the Sky Bar for not being 'smartly dressed' apparently shorts just wouldn't cut it. We then headed back to the Pak Pong area and took in all the sites. Eventually we settled into a bar and spent the rest of the night there.

Leaving the temple I ended up on a pier which had lots of boats coming in with their catch and a whole group of people sorting fish into baskets which was great to watch. I was pleased that they weren’t camera shy and in fact welcomed me to watch and take some photos which was kind of them, they’re always characters ...
