An early start of the day before the sun got too strong to visit the ruins. We got up at 6am while it was still pitch dark, and started heading to the ancient ruins at 7am. Up early today for a bicycle tour round the ancient city of Sukhothai. Sukhothai Bicycle tours is a family business and Miaow and her cousin Gob met us at the hotel with the bicycles. Bei gebratenen Bananen, Nudelsuppe und jeder Menge frischem Obst führte ich eine spannende Unterhaltung mit Carina und Nils, den beiden anderen Deutschen, über mein Steckenpferd E-Books. Anschließend machten wir uns auf den Rückweg und kamen nach insgesamt 24 Kilometern gemütlichen Radelns um halb 1 wieder am Ausgangspunkt an. ... there into the fields after my "peeing on the snake" incident! But....took a very deep breath and carefully stepped my way in....thankfully spotting it pretty quickly, grabbing it and high-tailing it out of there back to the road! I had had it in its case, wrapped in two big beach towels under my backpack that I had bungied onto the back of my bike, so it had been pretty protected, but.......the ruts obviously got the better of my bungie job! ...

Beautiful rooms. Fabulous pool. Nice dinner and show at night. Loved the frogs that came out at night. Friendly staff. Cool ruins close by. Overall very happy we stayed here.
