... we were there we stayed in bamboo huts that were primitive to say the least. Besides a rickety fan and a mattress on the ground, there really isn't much else I could tell you about the hut. Needless to say we spent the entire day exploring the island rather than chilling in our hut. That night we heard music bumping from the beach bar not far away, it was humid and damp everywhere, there was a creaking that the fan ...

... and everyone in the world with ears. Dreadful, in the extreme.

As I said last time out, I was happy to be leaving Bangkok, but with so much to do in and around Krabi, the opposite is true this time. I definitely plan to come back here on holiday.

    Until next time,

... so we decided to take him home, Joe came with us and we met everyone back at the place for another post drinks session. We got to bed at some time between 4-5 (I'm a bit blurry on the exact details of all these nights for some 'unknown' reason). Avril still hadn't turned up and Joe was freaking out a bit, but it turned out fine apart from the fact she slept the night in their hotel lobby and didn't get in to the room until around ...

    Kurt's POV - Amsterdam bar

A travel blog entry by georgeadams1991 on Dec 28, 2013

Dragged ourselves out of bed around 11, our room had become somehow hotter and brighter than outside, causing us all (George) to turn into fairly sweaty hungover messes. We eventually showered and ordered food from Tot and decided to have a chilled out day at a viewpoint bar called 'Amsterdam bar'. Along with Coe we headed up there at around 1:30pm and found it reasonably deserted at this time. You have to climb a lot of stars to get ...

Ko Phi Phi, Thailand: Beach Bars & Bull Rides

The ease of travel in Thailand never fails to impress me. (1) Go to one of the many travel shops. (2) Book ferry ticket or tour or whatever you want to do. Takes about two seconds. (3) Check out of hotel and wait in lobby until complementary mini bus arrives to take you to ferry. No taxi to a shared taxi rank which breaks down and you have to get a bus. Everything works. It doesn't matter if you stay in 1 star or 5 star their customer service is impeccable. Best of all it's ...
