So, I guess I should start figuring out what clothes to take. I'm struggling with packing sweaters and jackets when our heat index is 105! Needless to say, I am looking forward to some cooler weather. It's a great time to leave this Houston heat behind! Overview: On Monday (8/3/15), we will fly overnight to Amsterdam and then on to Copenhagen where we will board the Windstar ...

After reading some friends' travel blog of their honeymoon trip and dining experiences on an app called TravelPod, I think I'm gonna give it a try. Why not? Electronic or paper? Why not both! As we drive these last 2 or 3 hours, we are reflecting on the highlights of this trip. Of course, it started with a bang eating at Elijah’s in Jasper, Cotton Alley in Natchez, continuing with the Bush Bean restaurant and the wonderful BBQ at Hungry Bear in NC and Palmetto Pit in SC. We traversed on many back roads including the Natchez Trace Parkway where we saw that eerie ...

... guy that wouldn't turn off his light all "night", we had an uneventul flight. We arrived in Amsterdam at 7:30 the next morning & caught a flight to Rome. We managed to snag an SUV to take us to our hotel & I mention this only because there aren't any SUV's to be seen anywhere! The weather is picture postcard perfect, made all the sweeter knowing it's in the 90's back in Houston. :) And so begins our ...
