... have everything from your choice of eggs, yoghurt, fresh fruit (platters of passion fruit), croissants, etc etc! Lunch if you're on board is equally amazing with today being a smorgasbord through the galley - seafood, pork, beef, sushi. Just everything imaginable. The dessert table was heaving with a bombe alaska and croquenbuche (neither the iPad nor I can spell this)! Plus heaps more. I'm getting SO fat I'll have to diet for a month when we get ...

... both Greek and Roman times. The Duomo in Ortygia was originally a 5th century BC Greek Temple that was converted into a church when the island was evangelised by St Paul.

It has been very interesting walking around this ancient place and trying to absorb a little of the history. We went the main archeological site dating back to 5th century BC.

Then, a little later we visited the Santuario della Madonna ...

      Driving in Sicily

Driving in Sicily is exciting, challenging and is best undertaken after five or more expresso coffees, several sugar laden brioche and a constant supply of cigarettes. The following key principles apply:

      • Driving a vehicle must be undertaken at the maximum speed possible without coming into contact with something or someone.
      • Traffic lanes are a guide only. ...
