internet in my apartment for some time, hence the delay of this entry.
Buying groceries in Buenos Aires is very interesting because
we can’t speak Spanish. But opening your groceries is always full of surprises.
We purchased a carton of what we thought was apple juice and it turned out to
be DIET apple-flavored ...
... shopping and a night life to match any other city in the world.
We were fortunate to receive a great recommendation in terms of where to stay and found ourselves in a small apartment in Recoleta, a central suburb that puts you in walking distance of most areas of Buenos Aires. And walk we did. We covered over 70km during our stay as there was so much to see around every corner.
Our first night in BA saw us catch up with Amanda, Anthony´s Westfield ...
... had 2 big steaks, chips and veg and 2 cokes for just over 20 euro between us and this would be an expensive restaurant-cant wait to try other places for steak whilt here-we are meeting up woth the gang from Dublin tonight for a meal and drinks in another restaurant that was recomended by many people so looking forward to that. We may as well eat well while here as its the main city in the world for steak!

... Clau, who had recently returned home to BA, and showed us the best her city had to offer.
It was great being taken to Clau’s favourite restaurants, being recommended places to visit, and even being treated to a family meal. The warmth and hospbitality was infectious and made ...
... I'm studying with, and before I knew it I was whisked off onto a bus, then was dropped at my hostel, where I promptly fell in love with the building and its residents. I live in a room with 4 other girls, and there are 15 of us total who live here and go to the University, plus others who come and go that are traveling through Buenos Aires. After a bit of roommate bonding Saturday night, we had orientation to our new ...
Buenos Aires, Argentina larkinrose... was nowhere to be found in the morning. Goodness me it wasn´t going well. Anyhow, this meant another trip to the bus station was required, so off we set, finding it so much more easily second time round. After treating ourselves to a Choripan (a spicy sausage sandwich), we were back in time for the football game - Boca Juniors vs Newells. The tour pack came with instructions on how to keep safe "Only cheer for Boca Juniors - it´s a matter of ...
Buenos Aires, Argentina corneliusp... fire works. At about 4.00am Dan and walked like the village drunks in some old Irish folk novel to a club called "International Party" where disco danced to such hits as "Girls and boys - by blur" and "Just can´t get enough - by Depeeche mode". We had a good night and got home late, or early (depending how you look at it). After a days recovery we made plans to head to Salta, north west Argentina. (As usall photos will follow in due course) Love J&D xxx
Buenos Aires, Argentina jimanddan... that ranges from cute brightly coloured colonial houses to stately buildings and steel-and-glass skyscrapers), the gorgeous murals on the walls , the quaint cobble-stone streets, the beautiful trees everywhere, the open-air markets, the tango dancers in the streets, the cosy squares, the broad boulevards,...it's in everything. The traffic is maddening yet the city has countless spots that are an oasis of tranquility and there's always something interesting to see ...
Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District, Argentina velvetescape... for things in shops and restaurants and understand alot.
