Siiiiiiiiii
We arrived in Cala de Calobra around 5:30. We anchored in the small bay and took a tender to shore. The little village has a small pier along one side of a steep hill and the village is crowded on the hillside raising between two much larger and steeper hills. The whole thing looks like some Hollywood set because of its idyllic setting on the small bay. There are several bars and restaurants where we got drinks and ate an early dinner.
sa Calobra, Balearic Islands, Spain mylifesjourney... lunch was served buffet style on the main deck so everyone could eat at their leasure and were it was the most convenient for them.
Waterskiing is very exhausting and after a few hours of playing on the water, the crew loaded everything up and we headed down to coast to the small village of sa Calobra on the Cala de Calobra.
... cave tour we took the heli to the yacht which was approaching Minorca island when we landed aboard. It was close to 6 PM, so we washed up and had dinner on the sun deck at 7 PM while we watched the sunset and as we entered long entrance to the Mahón harbor, the second deepest natural harbor in the world.

After a turbulent trip I finally arrived on the very first day of my summerholidays and got picked up by my sister and her friend for some shopping in Palma! (Luckily we did not get affected by the ETA attacks, we heared about that much later that day!)
The rest of the day though I spend sleeping at the beach- not ...
... every morning!
Then we either spend our days at the beach, relaxing, sleeping, reading, swimming, taking underwater pictures... or we went off to discover the island with the convertible- good fun, especially with a lot of good music!
One day we went to Pto. Pollensa to shop in the old city centre and then climb the 365 stairs to the Calvary Mountain with its` chapel on the top.
Another tour took us to ...
... I climbed the road up the hill to photograph it but found the small area in front of the church filled with trucks that had apparently come up from Palma for some film project. There would have been no way to get a picture of the church without having it half-obscured by the trucks.
The road to Orient is a very narrow little track with lots of 180 degree switchbacks that had me turning the wheel of my little car until it hit the stop in order to make it ...
Andy was feeling better after the sleep - his cold is still bad but at least his ear ache is better. Today we just took it easy - preparing for the flight to Barcelona tomorrow. John and Dale did laundry (3E each for wash and laundry!). The weather was overcast with a light drizzle a couple of times so no sun tanning today. I went to a cafe that had free wifi if you bought a drink so I had a couple of cups of coffee as I caught up my blog, surfing etc. It was alot easier than the ...
Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain and Canary Islands pathfinder35... photographs to try and capture some of its beauty. The roads were winding and steep in places, but nothing someone used to driving abroad couldn't cope with (or anyone who already drives on the right-hand side of the road!) and there were plenty of passing bays along the way. We deliberately headed over there to arrive later in the day as we had been told that Masca is one of the destinations offered on an island tour for coaches from the resorts and that ...
