    Cruising on The Coral Princess

A travel blog entry by retiredandcrazy on Apr 20, 2015

On 12th April we checked out of our hotel and into our next home, The Coral Princess. This ship is much older and smaller, having capacity for only 2500 souls. On our passage out of Fort Lauderdale we passed the largest passenger ship, The Aurer, which last week broke the world record by having 9000 passengers and crew on board. That's too many for comfort in my humble opinion!

We brought sweatshirts that we wore on the plane and haven't looked at them since. I also really enjoyed the size of Jaco. Depending on who you ask, ...

Waking up at 4 am has never felt so good. The waves are crashing in the background and when I go outside on the balcony the mist is coming if the ocean just as the sun rises. The water calls me and the closer I get a feeling of the waves rock me from the inside occurs. I am one with mother ocean as Adam would say. I have walked many beaches but nothing deters me from wanting to set out down another. This one, Playa Hermosa, has dark, wet sand that ...

... church and while we were there a bridal party arrived. The tradition is that the bride wears purple. The whole bridal party were in purple with pink accessories, was really lovely to see. Interestingly the bridal party goes into the church first and then guests follow after they are settled in the front. No music just the church bells ringing while they went down the aisle. The weather is very hot and humid. A good day for a dip in the pool, except the pools are heated ...
