    ... way to the waterfront. We have picked a bar/restaurant that has a wood fired pizza oven, and we are currently drinking beers while looking out over a beautiful little marina. It is very quiet - we really are at the end of tourist season. Most of the really big hotels and resort complexes are closed up until next summer.     ... close by at a place called Arzachena. We had both wanted to visit these sites as they date from the Bronze Age and are in remarkably good shape. What we saw was a Nuraghic burial tomb and a village. The stone "house' is amazing, how they managed this is impressive.     ... but we are staying out of town about 30 minutes at a place called Porto Rotondo - evidently a little ritzy. Find the hotel with no problems and check in to find a full blown BIG FAT Italian wedding going on. It is the perfect cliche. Love it!!     ... Nuraghe Sait'Antine. WOW. It was a village built by bronze age people. It had many smal mound like huts for the plebs and a central stronghold for the cheif and upper class.
    These villages were built 1700/2000 bc. The central tower was a dome structure with three levels and each level had a dome ceiling (dry stone construction). So dome ground floor, up stairs around the perimeter to next level on ...
