... We left Chinon in the morning and headed over to Amboise. We visited the Azay-Le-Rideau chateau. It had a lot more period furniture in it than the last one. It was set on a nice reflecting pond. Then we did a load of laundry. We stopped at a laundrymat that the Rick Steves book had mentioned, only to find it closed down. Luckily, the TI was just down ...

My pick tonight was the trio of mushrooms - delicious and adventurous ...

... great. 4 courses and 2 glasses of wine for 15 euro. As it was Saturday there were no worker's but the restaurant did have locals enjoying the fare. Entree was a buffet style selection of salads and meats. Main course was beef or chicken. Cheese followed and then there was apple tartin for dessert, after this wholesome meal and a few wines we were not as enthusiastic about riding as we had been in the morning. Sigrid assured us it was ...

... in the very back singing songs the whole time. Anna even thanked us for our lovely concert...I should probably become a singer now.
After viewing the castle, which Anna Norris's daughter showed us (she is super nice), we were able to take a paddle boat around the castle (and under). Of course Erin, Caroline, Devon, Dana and I were all up for this idea but we didn't realize how hard it would be. We divided in groups of 3 and Erin and I ended up being the ...
