Travel Blogs from Vancouver
So here I am, it's 3:30am and I’m sitting in our suite at The Hotel at Terminal City Club (thank you for the free upgrade!) in Vancouver and I can’t sleep, what better time to start my very first blog.
On Sunday I had the brilliant idea that rather than get up at 5:00am and try to put the finishing touches on closing down our …
Sea-to-Sky on up the Pacific Coast from Vancouver and Whistler, British Columbia, Canada
I found out you can do a lot in two days on the ground in Vancouver and Whistler, British Columbia, but you really need four days on the ground to see the top 10 adventures. Of course, these days will be filled with non-stop fun. When I arrived in …
... were starting to go a little stir crazy. When we docked in Vancouver, you couldn't even see the buildings in front of the ship!
The whole cruise experience was ok. The staff were friendly & helpful, the ship was easy to navigate, the getting on/off at different points was easy and well managed. I don't really have any complaints about the cruise itself. I just don't think cruising is something I could see myself doing a lot of. Maybe a cruise ...
... with all that they own. Very sad to see.
After much searching, we finally found the Information Center. Luckily we met a lovely lady (also an RV'er) and she calmed me down and got us all the information we had asked for an she gold us about other places to check out. so she saved the day, for sure!
So off we went to Stanley Park. It was a great warm and sunny day and we had a very nice time at this park. ...
... good information on the history of the park as well. After the tour, we wandered around the park and just enjoyed the beautiful weather. We took a trail through the rain forest, which was a lot of fun. There were so many tall cedars, redwoods, and other trees. At times, it seemed like we had the forest to ourselves and at other times, we had interesting reminders that we were never far from civilization (like the time we saw a guy coming out of the woods with a Starbucks drink). ...

TravelPod Member ReviewsThe Hotel at Terminal City Club Vancouver
The hotel was quaint. I must say I was ecstatic when I walked into the room. I was expecting a little one-room studio but was pleasantly surprised with my spacious suite. There was so much room/space I didn't know where to sit or rest. I stayed in my "living room" and watched Chuck Connor on that old western show I can't recall before going to bed the first night. I gazed at the view outside my top-floor room and then discovered in the morning I have a harbor view too! Wow! I received chocolate and three bottled water every day of my stay and room service and meals were impeccable. It was more than I expected. The only downer for me was no snack machines in the hotel at all. I don't know what that's about.
