... fever, we finally made it to Kamienna Góra. We decided not to spoil a good thing and filled our faces full of food and vodka for the last 3 days of our trip. Just like i'd had encounted throughout our time in Poland, nobody spoke english, so charades became the most handy communication device with a few words of German thrown in. As Anita's uncle pointed out, he speaks Polish, German, Bulgarian and Czech fluently because he'd worked in those ...
Kamienna Góra, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Poland andrew.campbell... Mountains is part of the larger Sudetes range. Its highest peak is Sniezka which stands on the border between the Poland and Czech Republic - at a height of 1602 meters above sea level. The mountains are wonderful for trekking and ski. Large areas of the mountains are preserved as National Park.

To see photos from Jelenia Gora and Mountains please click here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v =7KSPFn6p9Y0
Jelenia Gora, Western Poland, Poland ulka... the north of the country as planned, we also popped back into Germany a few times, Sharon felt a bit safer free camping in Germany as its more accepted and there are more rest stops. This also meant we got to check out Dresden which was as expected really nice, it reminded me of a very compact Paris, lots of buildings in a style not normally associated with Germany but carefully restored to something near its former glory since the war. The center of Dresden ...
Liberec, Bohemia, Czech Republic pihollandal the former eastern bloc countries make for good travel,, but the one that i return to is the czech republic,, mainly to the north [north bohemia],liberec, harrochov, cesky raj, but a trip or two to moravia is also worth taking,,. during the communist times it was an eye opener, now also as the people wish for the return of those times, they knew where their bread was coming from, and the upgrades fron old skoda to super fast motorcars,, ah they stilll are crazy on the roads
Liberec, Bohemia, Czech Republic jefaTento vikend sme s kamosmi v Liberci na severe Ciech. Prisli sme sem rovno zo San Diega, tak je to trochu teplotny sok. Liberec, Bohemia, Czech Republic mozi... I could make a wrong first impression. But I am a very sensitive and warm-hearted person. Although both of us have enough of seeing each other for now, I have this impression things have "clicked" in between us. And if there is no "click" in between people, it`s hard to build up a friendship, or even, as my friend would say, a "rough friendship". The time will show whether we will be able to continue our relationship.
Szklarska Poreba, Western Poland, Poland bogna... further on to the most famous site in Karpacz apart from the mountains - the Wang Chapel. This remarkable wooden chapel was built at the turn of the 12th century on the bank of Lake Wang in southern Norway, and sold to a Prussian king in 1841 because it was too small for the local congregation. It was carefully dismantled piece by piece before being shipped to Berlin, and then Karpacz (a part of Germany at the time) where it was reassembled over a period of two years. It is the ...
Karpacz, Western Poland, Poland will9/10/07 Day 71 Today we travelled into the Czech Republic to a town called Trutnov just across the boarder near the alps. it's a cold day but the roads were gratefully uneventful and we arrive in the afternoon. Having no currency we headed off to find a bank and the shops, we get out 2000 Zakona and only get 2 notes, the problem is we have no idea what the exchange is, and can only guess. We do the shopping for just over 1000z and wonder if it was a ...

We bought a camping book of Europe and discovered this off beat campground. As we embark our drive over the mountain pass the rain launches itself in hard, massive drops! I begin thinking that rain is not the best alternative at this moment. Tom is already hesitant about camping and the rain ...
