I have really enjoyed visiting the Azores though I admit, I did have to look them up in the atlas. They belong to Portugal but on the whole we have got by without having to learn Portuguese!

We did The Bridge, the costume wardrobe, the galley and also the laundry. 12,000 sheets a week and that's just for the passengers not including the crew. It's just mind boggling to see what goes on, on the decks below. Something like 10,000 meals a day! The size of the soup vats was a real eye opener. The chef who showed us through ...

... there as fast as I could. In the back of my mind all I could think about was, "No one knows where I am. I am in a car that does not belong to me. The last thing I need is to run into a couple of bulls on their own turf!" As I sped out of there, it really didn't seem to matter how beautiful and peaceful the night sky was anymore!

Just another one of those stories that are funny now . . . but I guarantee you - it was certainly not funny then! ...
