I have really enjoyed visiting the Azores though I admit, I did have to look them up in the atlas. They belong to Portugal but on the whole we have got by without having to learn Portuguese!

... a lovely area for families that includes a small bird zoo; African geese, a parrot (who tried to eat the fingers unwittingly offered through the chain link), peacocks and ducks. There is also a collection of deer which made the cutest noises, unlike the African geese who threw a fit whether you came near or walked away.
Angra do Heroismo, a city with formidable history that sets the scene for the beautiful stories lived there now.

The last thing I need is to run into a couple of bulls on their own turf!" As I sped out of there, it really didn't seem to matter how beautiful and peaceful the night sky was anymore!
