Did you know that St. Nick was buried in Bari, Italy? Or so the story goes. And his corpse oozes oil that the basilica sells. That would have been something to see and share. So I lied, we didn’t reeeeeeeally miss the boat to Italy, we nearly/would have/were for sure going to miss it, but now we’re on it

This trip so far I have:
- travelled to the furthest point north on the planet I have ever been (Copenhagen)
- travelled to the further point south in the Mediterranean Sea I’ve ever been (Santorini)
- paid the highest taxi fare I’ve ever paid

I had a lazy morning and then cycled the couple of hours down almost-straight road from Barletta to Molfetta where I'd arranged to meet up with Beatrice for lunch.

I was quite amazed by how industrialised the coastline was, particularly around Treni which seems to be the Granite-capital of the world! For miles, I passed one Ganite-yard after another with great blocks of stone all neatly arranged beside gantries and cranes - many with docks as well.
