Day 3 & the 3 musketeers set off for the last day of our bike trip. A great downhill ride with magnificent views once again. The tour took us right through the centre of town before reaching our hotel at about 2.30 pm. Loved it but glad to be off the bike! Enjoyed a well deserved bottle of prosecco to celebrate the challenge of our ride. So proud of us all Tomorrow sees us headed for Torino (Turin) via fast train from Firenze (Florence) to start our cheese tour on ...
Yes, I know. We were in Italy last fall. But really, how can you ever tire of Italy? We left YVR August 28 @ 4:30 on Swiss Air, which actually was a charter flight on Edelweiss Air. ... del Campo, lying in the sun. Il Campo stages a horse race twice a year with riders from the various families which must be amazing to see. It is a sloping, semi-circle area - not what you would think would be ideal for a no holds bar horse race!
We then visited the Duomo - amazing building. Lots of marble black and white stripes inside and out, which made a nice change to the other cathedrals we had seen previously. ...
