... No kidding we both agreed that we will always keep coming back to Siena and to the duomo because it is that stunning. We also did another climb (again) to the panorama at the top of the duomo – more amazing views. When we came out it had become very dark and then started to rain. We had a LONG walk back but even though we did get a little lost we didn’t get too wet and the pretty drive home was gorgeous. What a lovely part of the world to live in! Back home is nice and ...

... the artist who is beginning to win awards all over for his beautifully textured work. Love our new piece.

Took just a fabulous drive to Monteriggioni - incredibly picturesque. Very quiet with only a few shops open - found a Christmas pres for one daughter in law :) which is always such fun and came away with an amazing 100% super kid mohair shawl/scarf - beautiful!! Ate lunch in a very nice restaurant, preferring Rich's wild boar sauce and palledella noodles to ...

Off to San Giamagnano first thing. Shopped until we dropped! Literally! Christmas shopping - check!! Gorgeous small historic town - could only imagine how insane it would be in summer - not the place to be for sure!!!! Loved this hilly place! Made even more special and unique with getting to know Matteo who made my ring AND resized it in 15 minutes (which of course gave me the time to look ...

I had a diggin's of a time settling on accommodation here as I weren't sure how long it would take to drive around and I also wanted to get a feel of the countryside. I ended up booking this place cos it looked beautiful, had a big pool and was close to San Gimignano, Greve and Siena. The only problem I envisaged, which turned out to be well founded, was that it is in a very mountainous ...

... towards piazza San domenico. When we got on the driver was just on her phone... Talking away. She was on it the entire time we were on the bus! Loving the rules and regulations over here.... kids under 12 serving alcohol, bus drivers on the phone, no rhyme nor reason to pedestrian crossings, people of any age able to buy cigarettes from after hours machines, more ????After getting off the bus you then have to walk down to the centre. We walked to the Cathedral complex as that ...
