Well most of us slept in this morning. Russ was up at 5.30 to do some GE work. The rest of us woke at about 7.30. Breakfast was served scrambled eggs asparagus and pancetta. Russ driving today. Siena’s other great square is the Piazza del Duomo, housing a group of ecclesiastical buildings including the Duomo of course, one of Italy’s greatest gothic churches with a colourful marble fašade. We spent most of the day in Siena, walking around its maze of cobbled streets, admiring the architecture, and sitting in the piazzas people watching.
