My last two days in Tenerife

... favorite students) decided to come, and since it was just us four, we ran downstairs to the café for some coffee and pop. I got to have some great conversations with them--about Tenerife wine, Spanish learning, English accents and medical school--and get to wrap up my hospital work. I was so glad to meet all the doctors I met here, and since I never could have seen any of this work in the US, I'm so thankful to them for giving me the opportunity to follow them around. ... Marc and Sergio didn't show up for class today, so Ashley and I got to leave the hospital early. We went to SuperDino to get some snacks and then ran back to the residencia. I don't know why I've been so tired today, but I had two coffees before seminar and I still almost fell asleep. There is no guarantee that the translator on the other line understands the medical terminology and concepts necessary to explain the ...

... fourth weekend! I got burned pretty badly on every part of my body, and I'm just now beginning to peel all that skin away, but it was so worth it. We only have one more weekend here before we all go our separate ways, so I'm really thankful that I got to have a great one with my friends. It's so crazy to think that two weeks from now, I won't even be here anymore! I'm dreading leaving the island, but I also can't wait to see my girlfriend and family again. Here's to an awesome weekend!

... grammatical structures. He loves to talk about politics, healthcare systems, hospital relations, useful Spanish/English words, and just about anything else that can possibly come up in conversation. He treats his patients and fellow coworkers like family, which I have never seen in the US. It's been such a humbling experience to see him work with his patients, and I've really learned a lot from him--not only about internal medicine and patient care, but also ...
