    ... half way up the steepest path in St Emilion, then back on the road to an arranged wine tasting at Chateau Ferrand. CHarlie showed us round the vines, the Chateau and gardens, the winery and then we tasted several of their wines. A purchase of course followed.
    Back to the gite to freshen up and have dinner.

    ... focused on the destination, as it was extremely hot with no little villages along the way for refreshments. Our water and a brownie courtesy of Joel Robusion (thanks to Dan for sharing) was our only sustenance as we rested under a tree along the way. A couple of casualties were emerging, Chris' damaged knee, Margaret with her damaged foot and the rest just "heat damaged".

    ... clean clothes on. Luckily the attendant had come back again - off the boat maybe?? .... Two other ladies pulled out sanitising hand wipes and started wiping down the table but the first lady wasn't happy with that so asked the non-english speaking attendant if it could be cleaned...
