      ... one area we were told the huge Russian development had only sold 10% of the units and let a further10% having 80% just standing idle. Several other sites had been built to varying levels and clearly stopped when the cash ran out leaving broken hearts and loosing thousands of euros for the unlucky investors. Such is the story of an economy reliant on tourism.

      ... as curious about us as we are of them because they would roll on their side and look me right in the eye! They were delightful! We found a couple of pods of them and followed them for quite some time. I must say that I loved every second of it. They are mesmerizing. And frankly it was very moving.       ... El Ray as we drove up to the volcanic summit of the island called El Teide. It was a pretty fun road full of switchbacks that took us through every conceivable landscape from rainforest to snow to pine trees to mists so thick you couldn't see ten feet down the road.       ... unable to work out what time it was. I tried to be optimistic that this wasn't a sign of San Fran's continual edging towards a chasm of uselessness but I had to admit he was getting less and less reliable.
