... still just a place to do our diving from and not enjoy the beach. Even if it was whiter sand and clearer sea than coral bay. The rubbish and noise was enough to put us off. We visited the same snorkelling spot where the black tip was spotted but we had no luck and saw nothing. We sat on our balcony and waited for another great sunset. Unfortunately tonight's was a let down. It was still nice for a bit of quite away from the big resorts. 3rd May - Another day of not ...

After food we headed back to the room for some sleep after tea and FaceTiming ...

We finally arrived at the beautiful kecil island, the smaller of the perhentian Islands and checked in to the rock garden hotel. When the next progressed we found ourselves smoking ...

We couldn't afford not to make the last boat this time. Maddie, her sister and cousin (and respective partners) were already there as had flown the day before and we had already booked rooms at what was the most expensive place to date. We jumped on a bus back to Jerantut (not because we loved it so much but that it was the bus hub for getting people around the northern part of the country). Banana sandwiches finished we changed buses and got ready for a six hour trip to Kuala Besut. ...

... the sunbathing so took a stroll all the way down to the rocky end of the beach, harassed some sizeable crabs, and then wandered back up, hoping I would catch a bit of sun whilst walking. I found Dan sunbathing in the shallows of the bath...I mean sea (sea here also ridiculously warm - according to Dan's dive watch a balmy 33C) so joined him to (kind of) cool down a bit. After another round of sunbathing (for Dan) and shade-bathing (for me) ...
