In retrospect it would have been far simpler and time effective to have gone from Tioman straight up to Kapas; then from there to the Perhentians; from there to Kota Bharu; from there to Taman Negara; and then finally back to KL from there. Isn't hindsight a wonderful thing!

    ... we were faced by the news that the last ferry was potentially going in thirty minutes. Why potentially? Well the boats are small and the waves are big is my technical reason for why. Jesus Christ. He was not the driver but I did think we might meet him for a few fleeting moments.     ... in front of us, behind a solid wall of fish was the most amazing and beautiful coral; it was all different shapes an colours, deep, dark blues and vibrant reds.     Wake reasonably early. It's island day and a few things to do before we get there. Check out - leave our big backpacks as we will stay here on our return from the islands. Make out way to the airport- swing passed seven eleven for provisions ( namely insect repellent) before continuing on.
