... We happily obliged and took one ourself (see photo). We continued on to the approximate half was point where we had been recommended to stop for lunch a fisherman eatery. There was seating for about 500 and no other diners (it was noon), but there was shade and we had almost run out of water so we got off our bikes and went up to the kitchen. We quickly discovered that they didn't sell bottles water or any other drinks. There was water in ...

In retrospect it would have been far simpler and time effective to have gone from Tioman straight up to Kapas; then from there to the Perhentians; from there to Kota Bharu; from there to Taman Negara; and then finally back to KL from there. ... at the bottom. Actually it was while I was watching the clown fish that I saw something else...

An enormous silvery shark was skulking along the very bottom of the reef, weaving menacingly through the corrals. Well when I say enormous, it was probably about a meter long. And I recognised the black tips on its fins - it means its only a reef shark and harmless unless provoked. BUT STILL! A SHARK! It was way down at the bottom, but the water was so ...

... world class sites and not much else will live up to it!

The speed boat trip over here was something of a theme park ride, the tides were still quite high, due to the monsoon season just ending and the islands being re-opened, and we'd already been told we wouldn't be able to get to the east of the island as the waves were too bad.
