... thinks it is the well-covered riots in Izmir in late June which would have put people off, whereas I think when the UK school holidays start (pretty much today) there will be an influx. This place is pretty heavily frequented by German, Dutch and other European tourists already, but the 'package tour Poms' would completely ruin it for us. ... making the food were thrilled we liked it so much. One the return journey there was time for one more ruin (there's always time for one more ruin!) this time the Temple at Euromos, which was a temple to Zeus. It's claim to fame, according to Maddie who researched it for us, is that it is the sixth most well preserved ancient monument in Asia. Rather nice it is. Deserted.
