Ice hockey
we stoped in Pula to say hello to Marco (old business partner of Dide) and it turned out that there was an international hockey tournament taking place in the collesiem (almost 2000 years old) between Croatia and Russia - what a treat.
Finally, made our way down to Metcovic, just in time for one day of sun on the beach, before the rain - forcast for the next couple of days.
More to follow as i need to sign off now as we need to get the car back to Metcovic.

... into the nearest hotel where I am currently, contentedly scribbling, dry and warm, and surrounded by Croatian tourists also waiting out the weather. Sun sea n snorkels
... Simon threw a hissy and hurled it out in the tide.
Once we'd had enough we made our way back to the campsite to find some shade n do some washing. Then we wandered into town to have a nosey round n buy some food.
Cooked fajitas!!! Super tasty dinner sat around our camp, followed by a quiet drink in the campsite bar where the waiter made us try lots of local liquors made from honey n lavender etc. Pretty tasty but I'm guessing rather strong...

So we all dispersed and met back in fits of giggles. Simon had chosen for Nick a 'Croatia' sailor hat, which incidentally Nick had also chosen for me. While I had bought for Simon a red hair band with a big flower on it. He did not find this funny and refused to wear it, thus spoiling the game.

Then as the bakery's were opening we popped in for a fresh chocolate croissant before hitting the supermarket for supplies. Simons friend Nick then arrived to travel with us for a while so once his tent was (awkwardly) pitched (despite much laughter and no help from ourselves) we headed back down to the sea.
