... speed of 89kph. Fastest speed on the tour so far is recorded as 166kph though I'm pretty sure I went somewhat faster on occasion, so maybe Tomtom likes to err on the low side.

... appeared that people either turned up for lunch while visiting the mountain, or stopped late at night and awoke early & left to see the sunset. This was confirmed by the 35 people who descended to be fed at lunch and the 40 Japanese tourists who at 8pm replaced the early departed from that morning and who would repeat the march of the wheely cases the next morning, much to my shagrin!

I took an evening bus from Tabriz which would take me into the Eastern lands of Turkey. I have to be honest, I am happy to be leaving Iran, but sad to be leaving all the great people I met there. ... drippy. The show includes the "pulling" of the ice cream a lot liketaffy is pulled. A yummy and fun treat to try and possibly convince Baskin Robbins to carry it!

On our way out of Van we stopped at the University to see the famous swimming cat of Turkey, the Van cat...a white cat which often has two different colored eyes because of interbreeding. There is a special breeding program underway to save this disappearing breed.
