We were allowed a slight sleep in this morning and used the extra hour
to go for a walk around Exeter Cathedral which is just behind the hotel.
After this we drove down to Polperro , a small fishing village. More
tourist than fishing I suspect now. Very pretty town , picture postcard
stuff. Houses glued to the steep sides of the harbor. Time for a walk
around and some lunch. Beautiful bright blue skies and ...

After quite a hectic ten days with several visits to the Jolly Brew it was finally time to leave Bristol and head to Plymouth. Sat here on the Ferry which ...

... tasting and by far it's the best meal we've had out to date. We go for a wander around Bristol, then back to the car and drive over the suspension bridge which costs us a pound!!! Then we put in David and Gail's postcode into the satnav and arrive around 3 but no one is home so we decide to head off for Avebury where the famous white horse is and stones set in circles like Stonehenge. We turn into the car park but are disgusted to find that it will cost £4 just to ...

... microwave cooking is involved here! We opt for a bowl of soup -'broccoli and Stilton with bread roll and about 50 grams of butter each to slather on the bread!!!! It's passable but nothing like as good as the other two pubs so we resolve to go back to the Bearslake Inn tonight - at least it has brilliant atmosphere. We decide to head for the coast and program Tintagel into the satnav. It is in Cornwall and turns out to be a very touristy town. We can only glimpse the ...
