... who answered all our questions. We really enjoyed ourselves for an hour and 1/2, until the misty spits eventually began a light rain. So yes, finally we have experienced rain in Ireland after 3weeks! The pony and trap ride was fun, we clopped along the other end of the island from where we went yesterday, this is the later developed part, a lot of newer homes and not so quaint. Lots of memorial stones all over the island for the fishermen lost at sea - there were lots! ...

... iPad is invaluable. It was a1hr ferry ride, had a Guinness and cider with a packet of chips. We were snared by a bus driver by the name of Mullin, as soon as we got off the ferry, had 10 passengers (they were all snared as well!), kept us in fits. Kept bursting into song, gave an extremely interesting commentary. First stop was for an hour, allowed us to walk up to Dun Aonghasa, a 2,500yr old fort standing on 300' cliffs. It was ...

... there is only one public toilet on the island near the ferry so can make for a country toilet stop in a paddock otherwise! We had packed s little picnic lunch which we ate at a very cute little beach and then at the end of the day I had earned myself an ice cream, my ass was killing me that's what 4 and a bit hours of bike riding will do to you haha! They really say that, it's not just from Pretty Woman. The way back down (via path) has a view of The Worm Hole, a natural rectangular shaped pool into which the sea rushes, sloshing dramatically against the edges.
