Well as you can see from pictures below the storm has done quite a lot of damage on the cliffs I did not risk going down to the beach it all looked very precarious there is a road down but didn't bother. Got back Suz decided to do some ironing so we started up the genny just as the iron was getting hot the boss told us to switch it off not allowed. So creased jeans from now on I don't care but Suz does she is much tidier than me. Not at all ...

    A good 3 hours goes by and we finally arrive down in Sagres on the headland where the Fortaleza de Sagres sits, a massive fortress perched up on the cliff faces. The wind is crazy and feels like the car will slide off the edge. We pull into the car park and jump out but the wind is even worse outside the car.
    We struggle our way over to the edge of the cliff and grab a few pictures and wonder how on earth there are actually people surfing ...

    ... and lightning and it has not let up since just glad we have got wifi and we can get Netflix here so we are at least entertained. I feel sorry for all the dog owners who have to keep walking their dogs the rain is very heavy. We were going to do more washing but it can wait not going out there for anything today !! And to put the top hat on it all we left the bikes ...
