... but it is close to the beach, restaurants and shopping so I am sure it will be ok.

Checked in then headed for the beach - water warm, sand white and beautiful. Very pretty cove. Then for some food on the beach front, checked out a few shops, found a supermarket tucked away - bought some essential provisions like cheese/crackers/ chocolate - couldn't buy wine as they only sell after 5pm!!!! oh well - there is the pool ...

Ice teas like Butterfly Pea Flower and lime are especially good for cooling your insides on a hot day, while a variety of smoothies and good coffee made in a cloth bag are also worth a try, as Teresa had a passion fruit juice while I tried one of their coffees! For a delicious snack, buy some of the creamy homemade pepper cookies ...

... before. Headed back to the mainland, again only about 30 mins trip, then drove back to the hotel. Said goodbye to Helen and Lim, but hopefully will see them again.

Dinner and cocktails Malin Plaza, a newish market area at the southern end of Patong, great food selection, and quite a few cocktail stands which have tables and chairs and as long as you buy something to drink, they are happy for you to sit and eat there.
