    Dear Kerem and Emre,

    It was five minutes before 5pm when I got to the Salamis Ruins and it was getting dark quickly. I stepped in to see the guard and he was dozing off and I didn't want to bother him, so, I invited myself in.

    ... so far away and then his father dies. I have always had a strange relationship with my father. He and I weren't close until I started college. He had always been so distant and these past 3 years have really changed him so it's been extremely difficult thinking about what he is going through. In a way I am glad I am not there dealing with it all. I know my mind wouldn't be there and I would not be focussed on my classes. But please keep him in your prayers, and my dad. Thanks.

    So a mere two days after arriving back in England I found myself back at Gatwick Airport where I appear to have spent the majority of my summer this year. This time I was accompanied by my family instead of waving goodbye to them at baggage control and we were on our way to Cyprus for three weeks. This is the fourth time we've been to Cyprus so we know it pretty well.

    It is 10 Kms (6 miles) from the city and buses run 6 times a day between the city and airport. I guess you will be lucky to catch the bus or the least you can do you can wait for a while. To get to the city centre by taxi it can prove expensive –preferably avoid it unless you are in a hurry. Buses are really very cheap starting from 1 euro a ride and 3 euros a ticket for multiple rides throughout the ...
