We stopped at a small store and got him some swimming shoes: we were nearing the end of our budget, but he definitely needed something to protect his feet; some of the cuts from the day before had gotten infected and he was struggling to walk on them, we saw it as an investment into his foot future.

We walked along the main road and spotted a Buddha statue ...

I sat in the front seat with the driver with 2 bags stacked on me, while Edd and Cip sat at the back squished between people, smelling their armpits. It was at a sight called "Stone Hedge" that had a lot of soft corals. There were purple, yellow, orange and white corals. It was like being in an underwater garden. Too bad there weren't any octopuses.

... and stunning coastline, fantastic festivities and incredible cuisine, here we come!

We booked our flights on the 15th of February, leaving Penang and arriving in Ho Chi Minh City on the 21st of February. Next step – visas. I knew that we had to book visas in advance, but the visas are only valid for 30 days from the date of issue, so we had patiently waited until we knew we were actually going. Now that we had plane tickets, we ...
