Rising and shining at a slightly better hour, our first port of call is the travel agents as we had decided we wanted to go to Fraser Island and hostels here don't help with trips. We spoke to a lovely girl (actually from Kent) who told us all about the tour options but did warn us that usually people book 2 weeks before - especially now in peak season - and yet we had hoped to leave the following day! ...

We stopped in Wilcannia which is mostly inhabitated by aboriginals but the town has some beautiful buildings with unique architecture. The buildings are all made out of the colour of amber stone.

Morgen machen wir uns wahrscheinlich auf zu Trevors Eltern in Hervey Bay, um von dort aus nach Fraser Island überzusetzen. Wahrscheinlich werden wir 5 Tage zu Fuss und mit unserer Campingausrüstung bewaffnet über die Insel ...
