... and then we headed toward nearby Jackson Hole. On the way we stopped at Menor's Ferry and Chapel of the Transfiguration. It was a very interesting look back in time at how the settlers lived and how the ferry across the Snake River worked. The church was very plain on the outside, but the view of the Tetons from inside the church was breathtaking.

We got back to camp and ate breakfast. The girls played with their new friends around camp, and I took a nap. The kids were disappointed that their friends were leaving today, but maybe we will find new ones along the way.

... there was something in the trees just to the right of our peripheral vision. Something black. Oh my gosh, it was a black bear. ... Tuesday evening. Today, two field groups started on different sides of the butte.  The plan for these groups was to traverse, and cross paths at the top.  One group's plan was to go up a different side, essentially doing a loop and going down much the same way.  Everyone was excited for the hike, and all the kids encouraged each other up the steep climb. ... all the old and Asian tourists $5 for a picture with the horse head we decided to indulge in a maple, brown sugar and bacon waffle...yes bacon does make everything better.
