Very good hotel. Excellent restaurant. Nice, if small, pool area. Staff friendly & polite. Plenty of plugs in the room and you don't need a degree to work out the light switches!
In nice location minutes from downtown Siem Reap and away from busier main road with huge tourist hotels.

Nice, fairly new hotel. The lobby is beautiful. Nice pool area. The food is pretty good for a massive buffet. Walking distance to the museum

We really recommend this 4 star hotel for anyone staying at Siem Reap. It is only. 10 minute drive to Angkor Wat, spotlessly clean, and fantastic gourmet breakfast buffets the can be enjoyed inside or outside in their inner courtyard garden. The pool is lovely after a hot day touring the ruins, and well, I have already raved about their spa!

Today we started the day by going for a trip on the bamboo railway – this is comprised of a flatbed base mounted on 2 sets of axles with wheels driven by a small motor at the back. If another one comes the other way, one lot has to get off and the driver quickly dismantles his cart with the help of the other driver, lets the other go past and …

Our last day in Siem Reap. Set off and spent the day looking at more ruins of temples. Angkor Wat, which apparently is the largest single temple in the world. The Taj Mahal (sp? ) is second. It was built around the 11th century and like the rest of the ruins we have seen was left to decay, and has been repaired since the early 20th century. However …

Set off this morning for a tuk tuk ride to Angkor Thom. That's the old city that used to dominate the region, built around the 11th century by the king whose name I can neither spell, pronounce nor remember, so we'll call him Q7 as most people do. That's to distinguish him from his ancestors and children. It was a huge city, with over 1 million …

Having not been able to post the blog over the last few days I have a lot of catching up to do.
Today we left Luang Prabang for the airport to fly to Cambodia. However the flight was delayed by about 3 hours. The group has been split into 2 flights as the flight was fully booked. So we eventually got to the hotel. Had a swim, settled in and …

Certainly we had not seen enough temples yet, so this morning, after filling up on bacon and papaya at the Tara Angkor buffet, we were off to Banteay Srey, "Citadel of the Women", an 11th century Hindu temple, one of the best preserved in Cambodia. Its unique pink sandstone is not seen anywhere else in Angkor, and has contributed to the …
