Goodbyes done, the awesome foursome are left; Issy, Charlie, Eve and me! We go to get some instant noodles and ice creams from mini mart and then sit down for an evening of games back at the lodge, which id just like to say I was pretty good at. It really was the ideal way to end a fabulous few days at the national ...

Surat Thani: heading to the Thai/Malaysian border

A travel blog entry by on-phil on Mar 28, 2013

Quick stop in Surat Thani to take a minivan to Penang, Malaysia. At first I wanted to cross the Thai/Malaysian border by train as the region is supposed to be dangerous because of some tensions in the South of Thailand however there were no trains available before 5 days (booking in advance is needed) so I had to find another option. Bamboo travel in Ko Phangan offered a boat - bus - minivan trip including all the transfers but I ...
