Left Bangkok early morn. Amazing how a couple days can acclimate you to a city. We walked to the train station with our bags, bought our tickets, made our transfers from BT to MRT and found our way to the trains leaving for Phuket and Surat Thani. We had purchased a 2nd class, air conditioned car, which was very comfortable. Large windows, clean …

It's steep and it's hot and I'm sweating lumps. By the time I reach the top John is already paddling in the top pool, were soon paddling too. From here I went via Ao Noi beach to Prachup Khiri Khan and the temple on top of the mountain (which I have to climb of course) with it’s 395 steps and place surrounded by monkey’s, it has incredible sea plus city views. When I arrived I had fruit in a bag on the handlebars of my bike and a ‘big’ cheeky monkey snatched it before I could even blink, I didn’t even see him ...

... tsunami than they seemed to be. I ignored this 'helpful' local and made my way to the port. Obviously it was a lie and I booked my overnight ferry ticket to Koh Toa. You can't blame them for trying to take you for every penny I suppose, but it is a shame to feel like you can't trust anybody. The overnight ferry is probably better described as a sweaty sardine tin. The floor is covered in mats that we used to use for P.E ...
