We boarded the 747 at 1205A local time already well into Saturday morning for my body clock. Able to pre-board and settle into my aisle seat. Even though it was coach the seat was very comfortable. Two four hour naps, two movies, two meals and about 100 pages we arrived to Taipei airport. The airport is clean and shows signs of the Christmas spirit in both English and mandarin. ... Turned out to be a very surreal place - for 40 our room had a Jacuzzi, tv in the bathroom, steam room and a tv in the main room bigger than the average family car... We came to understand this was a "business motel" - whatever that means in Taiwan! - but a fun experience all the same! Ate dinner in Shabu Shabu, an all you can eat hot pot buffet where you could help yourself to any food - including sushi, ice cream and delicious desserts. ...
