    Perfect Stay in Taormina

Maior mico!

We are staying in a lovely 2 bedroom apartment here and our host Giovanni, has been most helpful with everything.
Feeling slightly aghast that I seem to have forgotten every word of Italian that I ever learnt...oh dear!
So tomorrow off to Geneva on another early flight...and then a few Swiss trains to end up in Zurich

... to other parts of Sicily. The little markets & restaurants served the same kind of food and it certainly wasn't the most freshest Italian food we've been privy too. However it was just great for me & the kids to see Mum & Kassim (& we all spoke English!). They met us between cruises. The first cruise was up in the Baltic and now they are on one through the Mediterranean. We dined out with them a few times and took ...

... 11 am was okay. We settled on 8 am instead.)

We ended our last night in Sicily with an unexpected surprise. Tired, we decided we would have dinner at the hotel. It turns out that the hotel's restaurant is located at the top of the building and there is an outdoor terrace. So, despite somewhat windy conditions, we ate under the moon with the lights of the little hilltop town twinkling above us. Another moment we could not have planned to be so ...

... special show tonight. All the stars in the sky, good friends of the dark water beneath , were not surprised by the magnificent scene of erupting lava from the Mount. They were accepting unemotionally the incredible view of burning earth crawling down the hills, finally kissing the sea creating big clouds of steam. Dessy describes this moment as magical. All nature - still and quiet, ...
