Historical Traveler Reviews Hotel Taodomus Taormina
Dear tripadvisor users,
no other term could best describe my experience in Taodomus but "magic". Not only is Taodomus "magically" located in the very centre of town, literaly a few steps away from the main "piazza", but the experience in the hotel itself has been one of the best I have ever had.
The room I was in was very comfortable, the view was breathe-taking and the quality of the service was superbe. We know Italians are usually very welcoming, but these guys were more than that, they made my experience in Sicily a perfect one. Always ready to help me with any silly question.
Did I mention the breakfast? Only fresh local products, it was indeed a pleasure.
The quality/price ratio was great. For the high quality of the service I got a very good deal. I highly recommend it to all of those who are going to the area.
Not to mention how beautiful Taormina is...check out the Greek theatre and the view onto the sea and the Volcano. Unforgettable.
Maravilloso.
Lovely and charming!!!
One of my stops in sicily was in Taormina. The theatre is spectacular, a must see...
When i got to the hotel everything was brand new and the room was perfect. I liked the names they gave to all the rooms, it gives the hotel a unique touch! thumbs up!
This is a really nice hotel that just opened up one month ago. It is right on Corso Umberto with good access to everything worth visiting in Taormina. They dont have their own parking, but give a good 40% discount to the parkinghouse just a few hundred metres away.
Friendly staff, nice, clean rooms and a good breakfast. You can even have it brought to your room without extra charge which we found a very nice service.
Sehr Zentral gelegen.
Loved the hotel taodomus
In may 2007 my husband and i went to Taormina and cebrate our 25 years of marriage.

... our restaurant, the La Piazzetta. We, once again, ordered a half carafe of the house white and red. Both were outstanding. We shared a plate of risotto with mussels and wild fennel. It was delicious. I then had the fish with an almond sauce and Eldon had the grilled fish plate. We also got a plate of french fries. We slowly walked the village back to the cable car and returned home a little after ...
... we had a great evening meal in a typically Sicilian restaurant and were serenaded by some musicians while we ate. Taormina is a beautiful hillside town with a history dating back to Ancient Greece with Roman , Carthaganeans, Arabs, Normans to name a few and all have had an influence on the architecture and buildings. It reminds me a little of San Gimignano and it is similarly full of tourists in the gorgeous little streets and laneways. My favourite place ...
The hotel we stayed at in Siracusa was a Best Western - the only chain hotel we had booked for our trip . Despite the fact that it was a bit . . . well, like a chain hotel, the staff was lovely and the price (35€ for two, breakfast included) was incredible. Although the quality of the food wasn't top notch, there was plenty of everything - dolchi, coronets and expresso for the Italians; Wurst and Käse for the Germans, and even bacon, eggs, ...
... island near Taomina and is Also known as The Pearl of the Ionian Sea, and was a private property until 1990, when it was bought by the Region of Sicily, being turned into a nature reserve. There is a narrow path that often connects the island to the mainland beach. The island has a small and rather rocky beach which is a popular destination for sunbathers. After lunch Federica, Vera and I crossed the narrow path to the Island paying ...
Today I had a chill-out day, so Pina, Saro and I enjoyed an outing to Corso Umberto for a Peach Granita macchiato with Mandola. After breakfast we all went shopping.
I bought a pair of shorts, a new cap and some Eau de Toilette, 'Lemon Sorbet'. We also did some grocery shopping before returning home to join Zia Graziella who had made gnocchi and chicken schnitzels for lunch.
In the afternoon I took ...
