    Our berth was alongside the outer pontoon but about 8metres outside us was a rocky islet, so we knew that no other boat would raft against us as they would block the channel, so we were quite happy with the choice. Moreover, we later discovered that there was a free bus service to town so in our book, this was a much better choice to spend the night.

    We had a very leisurely start to allow the effects of the rain to disappear ie the decks could dry a little and in the sun and some cloud and windless conditions, we motored the 10 miles or so to Nord-Koster, only to find that this popular island was exactly that and thus far too crowded, as the boats were rafted 5 deep.
