This was the last home that Heather's maternal Great Great Grandfather Thomas Barber lived in before he emigrated to Australia in 1849. He and his parents worked on this farm called Trebartha Estate. In the case of these roads they had 2 lanes each way. luxury! Our new caravan at home would have felt very comfortable being towed here, as there were many holiday makers with similar vans. Here ...

We enjoyed our stay in Bristol, especially the games of snakes and ladders and Uno with Isobel. Susan and Robin met us at Barnstaple station and , after a bit of shopping in Lidl, took Lilli and the luggage back to Northfield Lane while I cycled back. It was lovely to sit in the sun for our afternoon tea and later on for dinner. The resident hedgehog put in his nightly appearance and walked past back home after devouring his supper of meal ...
