      ... waiters at the restaurant where we had dinner. Sadly we couldn't stay up for the bingo and quiz night being held in the lounge of our hotel - we beat the senior citizens to bed - all this touristing really takes it out of you. Next day we woke to clear skies - the bluest I've seen in my whole time here so off we tripped to the SS Great Britain in Bristol (don't worry dad, I took heaps of photos) and on to our new home in ...

      ... to say all of our goodbyes to family and friends but i'm sure it wont be long before we see you all again ��

      We are now at a campsite in Poole for a couple of nights before the grand depart on Saturday morning......feeling chilled with a glass of wine and wondering what the next few months have in store for us.

      ... the road we were already on wound right through the Gorge (just like we planned). There are many, many stopping places with car parking on the twisty descent and most of them were empty at this time of year; that is until we got near the bottom, and the village, when they began to fill up with cars and coaches. We managed a couple of stops for pictures further up, but otherwise kept going, especially through the busy village. We're tough, we don't need no tea breaks!

      ... it is quite shallow, and is tidal.
      There are lots of boats moored in the river, but being tidal means that lots of
      the boats will be high and dry at low tide. But the boats are designed to
      handle it, with either double keels or outrigger stabilizers that keep the
      boats level when the water disappears.

      ... call Watchet for lunch. Another quaint harbour village on the coast. These little villages have roads that weave in and out of each other and little alley ways to get through to houses or other roads. It is easy to see where the 'cow paths' were because that is where they put the roads and where the houses were built. Lunch was great, in a little pub, where I had the jacket potatoe with mayo and tuna. We walk down by the ...
