... time. After only 40 minuets we made it to the party island, Ko Phangan! We all bundled into a taxi by an ambitious driver who clearly thought his 8 seater was about twice the size and he payed for it dearly on the hills as we were overtaken by even the slow moving lorries. We were staying at a place called Nomad house on ban tai beach, in an 18 bed dorm room. Lots of people, lots of new friends, fantastic nights out. The staff were the one of the coolest ...

... resort since! The road outside was dark and generally quiet come evening, but we never felt unsafe. After walking about 15 minutes we stopped for Mexican food, as the pictures of burritos got the better of me. I'll say this - I don't know how any of these restaurants survive as it's just dead in the area. Some may say it's peaceful, others boring. I'll just say it would be better to be in the Southeast of the island next time. I was looking for a nice spot to take Cindy ...
