The houses have been restored and the neighbourhood is bubbling with life. Gudmund calls the island Alcatraz. This little island with a fort is situated in Trondheim harbor and served as Trondheim's execution ground and special prison in ancient times. Also, monks used to live there. What's more, it used to be a German fort during WWII. Gudmund and I had a picnic there while enjoying the view of Trondheim.

... up around the cabin are groomed, so that makes it really nice, but a lot of folks still break trail to get up to the tundra especially in the spring when the snow is hard-capped which means you can get far fast... Really a great place!

So, here are a few photos of our short trip with Stig, some skiing, some relaxing and even some of Stig cooking us up some of the best waffles around!!!!
