Nicoya Peninsula, From La Abuela school 1 km south Tambor, Province of Puntarenas, Costa Rica, 11260, 506-683-0001-
We will post trip information here as soon as it starts. For 2010, we will continue planning the project and look for Sponsors that are willing to invest and support the Project. All indications in that regard is ...
Uvita, Province of Puntarenas, Costa Rica pamericasSmall village on the main road but Tucan Hotel set back. Not cheap and only 2 showers/toilets shared between up to 4 people in treehouse, 4 in hammocks, multiple others camping plus 12 people in dorms when fully occupied. Female shower/toilet always full of men as bigger - thankfully came when quiet.
Cocked up the directions to the falls, Cascadas Verde & didn't turn left before hardware store. Ended up crossing the river ...
After dropping Bev off at the airport we headed straight out of town. Of course this took us a good hour due to traffic and the inability to get proper directions! The map I we had purchased at a hotel the day when we came into the country was supposedly up-to-date, but so far I had counted around 10 mistakes. The San Jose portion was no different. By the time we got out of the city it was around 3 PM so we only had a few hours of daylight left and we still had to go ...
San Isidro de El General, Province of San Jose, Costa Rica cmedancing... fuer uns zu erobern
uns...japs, japs.
Just a quick blog to keep you up to date
Had to change plans as there was no space at Sirena Ranger Station. Margarita was able to organise alternative route into Corcovado
Got Marvi bus to Sierpe. Stayed in good cabinas and had excellent meal in their restaurant
... good They have no guest staying here currently so they have all been taking a break from doing as much yoga and mediation which is alight but kinda **** because I was hoping for a straight week of chris time yoga and meditation but its pretty fun either way. All but one person is great. One guys is just a bit strange and quiet. The actuall physical place and teh structure is just so freakin awesome. I have new design ideas for this ...
Uvita, Province of Puntarenas, Costa Rica carrera2u... far from Tambor we still had many cars in front of us and was told that they had cut off number of cars (about 4 in front of us). As typical when we were going towards the ferry we thought we'd missed a turn so we turned around. The time we turned around, asked someone, and went back the way we were originally going made us several cars in back of the line. The ferry left at 9:30. We were there at 9. Once the ferry gets ...
Tambor, Bahia de Ballena, Costa Rica sebchant... security, etc., and he just smiled....shook his head at her (like, poor dumb American Girl!) and said "no, no -- no security here." He was correct! Aim and I sat right behind the pilot and co-pilot, so we could see out the front. Aim had a good view of the gauges, etc., so she made sure we stayed on course. I was just glad when we landed! I'll let her take it from here....
Tambor, Costa Rica pas915... fishing village of Tambor. I have no idea what it's population is - maybe 500? There's a school and a real estate agent - hehe. Most of its inhabitants seem to be involved in tourism, farming, or fisheries. Visiting here was cheap and easy...just had to strategically leave for town when the tide was low. Otherwise, a fast flowing "river" appears out of nowhere and you have to tke a taxi back from town. The ...
