... 0830 hrs and our local guide was running late. Finally she arrived all flustered and full of conversation. She was a Pom who has lived here for years with her father, all dressed black with a Marlene Deitrich type fitted hat and a face so full of rouge she looked like a red indian! ... direction of where we believed the ground to be although we had failed to locate it on any of our maps. Thinking we still had a way to go I heard the tram announce we were arriving at Stadium station which woke us up and we noticed that we had actually arrived.
The INEA stadium was fully redeveloped for use in the 2012 Euro finals that Poland co-hosted and has a 44000 all seated capacity so once we had left the tram the ground was easily spotted about ...

... but he reduced us to tears of laughter. He disappeared around the corner and we soon missed him. Then, to our joy, he reappeared and passed by us again. Thank you sir for a most enjoyable interlude; you are the clear champion in the 'sheet man' vs 'shoe man' competition. Unfortunately we have no suitable prize.

... quite a pleasant place as we drive about 20mins to the Rzyinski Hotel in the centre. Fortunately they are expecting us and we have a room on the top, 4th, floor with a decent view overlooking a nice square. The outside of the hotel is grand and the interior reflects signs of the buildings age but has plenty of character. A good start. Spend about 5mins unpacking then head out.
Walk around a few back streets, which are all cobbled and almost completely traffic ...

Arrived in Poznan-easy leg of tour-only 3 hours from Berlin. Playing amazing heritage listed venue above vegan cafe-lasagne for lunch/dinner-so fulfilling. Walked into surreal double bass and dance performance. Except I thought the dancer was an old drunkard who was annoying the musician. Nope he was part of the act. seriously amazing venue. 1930s cinema. Needed a bunch more people to soak ...
