      ... lit a fire and I went to bed at 8 ready for my patrol. Woke up at 11 and had a 2 hour patrol where it was a tropical thunderstorm so no turtles but the turtles use wind and rain to protect them from predators but this was something else. Red thunder is the weakest then white then blue. Was absolutely soaked. We then went to bed after a quick midnight snack of Costa Rican Nutella (which actually was really nice) and sweet ...

      ... and wasnt great, but then ladies night began and free drink for Josefina. After a couple we went to Orange Bar which was where the part was at. Few drinks a little dance and home.

      Rain.

      Walked along beach in the rain. Wet

      Rain stopped. Hired a boogie board, Josefina rested. I went in. Caught some waves. Captain America at cinema which was very small and in spanish.

      Ribs for dinner at burger place.

      ... and the best sweetest pineapple Ive ever tasted.
      We are just about back to the ship now. We've been spoiled with the weather again today, with sunshine and not a drop of rain, right in the middle of the wet season here in Costa Rica. I can see rain clouds gathering now for an evening downpour. We have had a great day, exploring the jungle was a great experience, and we've still a lot of similar adventures to look forward to in ...

      Went down to breakfast and the only other person in there was an American talking to one of the owners so I sat with him. He now lives in Casta Rica and works in real estate and suggested Jaco, a beach resort which, he said, is on the way to Panama.
