... on 60 minutes. There was a man who used to talk about little mundane things but he made them sound quite interesting - Now I remember his name - Andy Rooney. I think that is the spelling of his name. I will have to check later. Anyways, my Dad and I used to love watching him and hearing what he had to say. I really miss these quality times that I had with my Dad. I miss you Dad!!!

... the readers, especially those that don't travel a lot, that they 'won't be in Kansas anymore.' For example, you're not going to have certain amenities that you're used to in the States: cable tv, dishwasher, garbage disposal, reliable water pressure, the convenience of the Walmart superstore just a short drive away, a myriad of food and restaurant and entertainment choices. Everything and everyone running on time.

Up waaaay too early this morning, it felt like I'd only just gone to sleep hehe! Unfortunately the kitchen was locked & I'd bought breakfast for myself as I knew everything would be shut in the morning, so had to make do with some dried papaya wooooo hehe! Luckily the guys in my room were getting the same bus & took pity on me, giving me a granola bar :) Got the bus to Puntarenas, local buses are much cheaper than shuttles - only $3 rather than $45! Coming down the mountain ...

... What a rush! We've been rejoicing all day. Mike Flick is particularly rejoicing because Josh Thomas is his son-in-law. Hallelujah!

Because of the wedding ceremony, the kitchen facilities were closed tonight, so the guys all went to dinner at a local restaurant. We had everything from fish to steaks and nacho mixtos to burritos. You know, there just aren't that many restaurants we've been to where a dog can wander in and ...
