    ... gift for the kids. I was so happy to find two of the pencils in one of the shops on the main street.

    Jaco is a party town where people come to surf and drink the night away. It reminds me of South Beach in a way. Jaco is nice but a little too touristy for us. We are glad that we are only in this town for one night. Tomorrow, we head to Uvita.

    ... I walked up to the teller and asked him in Spanish if he spoke English. He shook his head no. Probably a good thing because it forced me to attempt, in my broken Spanish, to explain what I wanted. Mission accomplished.
