      ... ear to ear when I looked back to see Rodrigo giving me the hang lose sign. Learning new things is so invigorating and it keeps me feeling young and excited for the future. I learned how to turn right and left and after a lot of successful waves and a few wipe outs, Rodrigo asked me if I wanted to go to the bigger waves.       ... of just the two of us so it was nice to sit down and get to know him. He is definitely as flamboyant as they can be but he is so thoughtful and funny. We had a great time talking about how much we love Titanic (since they had it playing in the Tico burger bar, obviously dubbed in Spanish), and his NYC job.

      Got home around 1:30 and passed out. I'm surprised my room mate Aleksandra hasn't killed me yet for being out and coming home late.

      ... quiet and still as Josť tried to entice the croc out of the water so we could see the enormity of his scaly, reptilian body. Sure enough, the croc began to track Josť’s movements, and in a flash, all 20 feet of him erupted out of the brown water, jaws agape, snapped them shut again, and the chicken was no more. You should have seen the toothy grin on Josť’s face—just another day at the office!
