... a lot of work and quite tiring. We often woke up very early and our days were very full. Martin and Norman did a fantastic job driving. They also spends hours setting up and packing the caravans. Thomas effort in helping with camp should also be acknowledged. He didn't complained about setting up his tent each night, then the following morning packing it up again. Only once in the five weeks did he sleep in the caravan. Merren's itinerary worked ...

All in all, the evening at Macedon was a happy start to our busy week in Melbourne. The Whiston’s waved us off the following morning ... Beverly already attired in her “house painting gear” ready to apply another coat of paint to the bathroom walls.

... Depictment of the Ballarat town during the gold rush era. Excellently reconstructed. Lots of school groups there. Workshops for them & many of the kids were dressed in period costume. Some of the old engineering works that are still fully functional were well worth seeing. A bloke making wheels for carriages - not many left in that trade still functioning now he said. What is that trade called ??? He had enough work for the next 2 years. Went for a drive south ...

... well we decided it was medical expenses and that was that. Besides our camping fees were zero. Two hours later Sharon felt relief and so did Allan!

The next day we decided to go to Kyneton for the day and see if a 'normal' swim would also help. The day was ruddy freezing, however this was an aquatic centre. Encouraged further by the blackboard sign that said the 25 mtr indoor pool was 29 degrees Sharon took a dip. ...
