... calls to our wonderful family for good measure. We had to get out at some point so went for dinner. We luckily found prime seats at a popular restaurant with lovely staff and great food. I loved the chicken, chilli and lemongrass dish I had. Jane wasn't quite so pleased with hers however I had by that point become £200 up on our little card game. Observations: - Most boats have dragon eyes on the bow - Durian is very popular here - Children and adults are ...

They seemed almost light hearted, one involved saying your prayer/wish while holding 2 cashew nut shaped wooden blocks, then throwing them in the air and hoping that they landed opposite ways up as this means your wish will come true! You repeat that 3 times to get an idea of your chances. Each of the 3 prayer methods have an element of gambling in them so Mike’s converted!

After that she took us on ...

... br> In My Tho we took a whole day trip with a private boat driver and a guide to see the 4 small islands in the Mekong river. This was fantastic. Our guide spoke very good English and was very passionate about the Mekong Delta.

First stop on the tour was a bee farm, where we sampled fresh honey, honey candy and also royal jelly, which we didn't realise you could eat as it is usually a beauty product. The tour guide disappeared for a moment and came ...
